On Sunday, June 26th, Bergenline Avenue was filled with a gorgeous array of classic cars, jeeps, motorcyles, and many more unique vehicles as LABS619 and the North Bergen Police Department (NBPD) came together to create the first show of its kind in North Bergen.
According to P.O. Hector Rosa, who was instrumental in putting the show together on behalf of the NBPD, a total of over $5,000 was collected through the event for the 2016 New Jersey Special Olympics Fundraiser.
This community event sponsored by Hudson County Freeholder Anthony Vainieri and the North Bergen Police Department also included vendors, giveaways, a 50/50 raffle, and music. Trophies were awarded to more than 20 of the most outstanding vehicles courtesy of The Hoboken Cruisers. Overall it was a beautiful, family-friendly day in North Bergen.
“We are always working to bring new events and programs to North Bergen and this Classic Car Show is another great example,” said Mayor Nicholas Sacco of North Bergen. “This was a fun event for the entire family and the fact that it will benefit the Special Olympics makes it a home run for our community.”
Hudson County Freeholder Anthony Vainieri said that since he became Freeholder his focus has been on bringing more community events to North Bergen and all of Hudson County to bring people together and make our area more vibrant and exciting.
“We are proud to be introducing another great event to the township that will hopefully become an annual tradition just like other new events like the Braddock Park Arts Festival, Columbus Day Carnival and more,” he said.
Latino Automotive Business Services (LABS619), which has brought quality automotive shows and promotional events to the Hudson County area for over 10 years, was the exclusive auto show partner.
“We were honored and proud to collaborate with Freeholder Anthony Vainieri, Mayor Sacco, Hector Rosa, and the North Bergen Police Department on this show,” said Felix Velez, Founder and CEO of LABS619. “We were so happy to see the whole community come out to enjoy a fun, memorable event.”
